Shafaq News/ The Federal Supreme Court, the highest judicial authority in Iraq, ruled, on Wednesday, that a "sentence" contained in the law abolishing the financial privileges of state officials is unconstitutional.
In a statement received by Shafaq News agency, the media of the Federal Supreme Court stated, "The Federal Supreme Court issued a ruling in case No. 232 / Federal / 2022 on Wednesday, 18/1/2023, that the sentence (and employees from the third degree upwards) contained in the inability of Article ( 9) From Law No. (28) of 2019 to cancel the financial privileges of state officials, as it came in violation of the provisions of Article (14) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005.
