The Southern Iranian Oil Company enters Iraq

Today, Sunday, the Southern Iranian Oil Company announced its direct entry into the Iraqi market through a memorandum of understanding signed with the Basra Oil Company, aimed at "strengthening cooperation" between the two countries in the field of oil and natural gas investment.
The Iranian company said, according to what was reported by the "MENAFN" network, translated by (Baghdad Today), that "its entry into the Iraqi market comes with the aim of developing economic cooperation between the two countries in the field of exploration, production and improvement of the oil and gas sector," adding that "the signing of the memorandum of understanding will provide exchange of necessary expertise.
For its part, the Basra Oil Company described the step as "of great importance, and ultimately leads to an increase in views on investing in the energy sector inside Iraq."
