Shafaq News/ The leader of the Sadrist movement, Hakim Al-Zamili announced, on Friday, his objection to amending the election law, which the coordination framework seeks to pass in the Iraqi parliament.
Al-Zamili published, on his official Facebook account, a video clip of the representative of the religious authority, Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbalai, and wrote on it, "No to the closed list, not to the one circle."

Al-Karbalai says in the clip, "The opinion of the religious authority is neither for the closed list nor for a single electoral district," adding that "the closed list closes the way for voters to choose who represents them in Parliament."
Yesterday, Thursday, the Iraqi Council of Representatives failed to hold its session devoted to discussing several issues, most notably the amendment of the provincial and district council elections law.
The report and discussion (second reading) of the proposed third amendment law to the Provincial and District Council Elections Law No. 12 of 2008 from the Legal Committee and the Committee of Regions and Governorates not organized in a region were included in the agenda of the House of Representatives on Thursday, while the session was postponed under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Shah Wan. Abdullah for half an hour.
The Parliament's Media Department said in a brief statement that the House of Representatives has postponed its session to next Monday.
