    On Thursday, the Ministry of Planning followed up on the field the implementation of the large Diwaniyah sewage project, pointing out that the project aims to provide a service for treating sewage and rain water and converting it into arable water, and that the design capacity of the project amounts to (100) cubic meters per day, and the completion rate is more than (75%). ).
    The ministry stated in a statement received by "Al-Iqtisad News" that "according to the ministry's vision and the directives of the Minister of Planning Muhammad Ali Tamim, the necessity of accelerating the pace of work in implementing strategic projects, services and infrastructure to improve the service provided to citizens, and for the year 2023 to be the year of project completion," pointing out that "field follow-up teams The specialist in the ministry carried out a field visit to the large Diwaniyah sewage project, which is the largest and most recent sewage project in the province, which aims to provide a service for treating sewage and rain water and converting it into arable water and covers most of the districts of the Diwaniyah governorate center.
    She added, "The project is being implemented by Al-Rafidain State Company and another company, according to the latest international designs, on a land area of ​​​​(100) dunums in the Hamad area, with a design capacity of (100) thousand cubic meters per day, while the completion rate reached more than (75) percent.”
    She pointed out that "one of the problems and obstacles that caused the delay in the progress of work on the project is the presence of conflicts and intersections with a number of bridges and highways, as well as oil and gas pipelines and railway lines, which delay the laying of conveyor lines."
     She explained that "the Ministry of Planning, in coordination with the authority supervising the project and the executing company, is working to find alternative solutions to remove conflicts in order to prevent delays in implementing the project."
