    Information/Baghdad...
Today, Thursday, the head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Mustafa Al-Hiti, determined the amount of money needed to be provided within the general budget to support the health sector in Iraq, while he indicated that there is an oversupply of pharmacists.
Al-Hiti said in a televised interview, followed by Al-Maalouma Agency, that "the health sector in Iraq needs 13% of the general budget to support it," pointing out at the same time that "there is no planning policy in the state in most of its joints."
He added, "35,000 pharmacists are currently in Iraq, although the actual need is only 14,000," noting that "there is a glut of pharmacists, more than what the Minister of Health mentioned."
Al-Hiti continued, "There is an explosive movement in the admission of pharmacy and dentistry faculties that occurred in 2021," noting that "the cost of dentistry and pharmacy in universities reaches 9 million."
The Pharmacists Syndicate noted that "the Iraqi per capita rate of medicines does not exceed 60 dollars during the past years," stressing that "the number of health institutions increased by 10% years ago." Ended / 25 s.
