The Ministry of Commerce announced the commencement of training agents distributing the ration ration to adopt the electronic ration card, while it indicated that the period of its implementation and entry into force is within six months.
Trade Minister Atheer Al-Ghurairy said, "The ministry has started training agents distributing the ration ration to use the electronic card," indicating that the process is very simple and does not need workshops, stressing the provision of all equipment and logistical matters
. The electronic ration does not exceed six months, and we seek to implement it in less than this time,” explaining that “there is no material cost in the process of replacing the card from paper to electronic.”
He added, "The electronic ration card includes many advantages, the most important of which is the absence of the need for paper reviews in institutional departments, as well as simplifying the process of adding or transferring any family member through the electronic application in a smooth manner, and that the card will be permanent and does not need to be replaced."
