Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani stressed today, Tuesday, the need for the state to adopt "clear and comprehensive" plans to solve the housing crisis in Iraq.[/size]
[size=45]This came during his chairmanship of the meeting of the Supreme Committee for the Development of Sadr City, which was devoted to studying the practical steps to initiate the establishment of the new city, according to a statement issued by the media office of Al-Sudani Al-Youm.[/size]
[size=45]The statement stated that the meeting witnessed extensive discussions about the mechanisms for implementing the project, its requirements, and how to achieve the desired goal of the project.[/size]
[size=45]The Prime Minister indicated that the new Sadr City project comes within the government's vision of the need for the state to adopt clear and comprehensive plans to solve the housing crisis in Iraq, and to organize work to alleviate the densely populated areas.[/size]
[size=45]The meeting came out with a number of recommendations, which will be endorsed by the Prime Minister, and it was emphasized to proceed with contracting with a solid advisory body for the purpose of developing general and detailed designs for the new city, its service facilities, and its infrastructure projects.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Sudani directed the concerned and competent authorities, in cooperation with the security services, to put a security fence around the project area, in order to prepare the field to start the implementation steps as soon as possible and prevent abuses.[/size]
