    Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani issued, on Tuesday, 14 directives for workers and retirees in the private sector, most notably allocating residential plots and caring for and supporting the elderly of the working class. 



    Shafaq News Agency obtained an official letter issued by the Director of the Prime Minister's Office, Ihsan Yassin Al-Awadi, and addressed to all ministries and entities not associated with a ministry and all governorates "immediately", titled "A package to support workers in the private sector."
    The book stated that the Prime Minister directed the inclusion of the segment of workers covered by the Social Security Law and registered with the Social Security Department from the private sector, and the retired ones, by allocating residential plots of land for non-beneficiaries previously, similar to the segment of employees and retirees of the public sector. Within a period of time not exceeding 30 days from the date of issuance of the book.
    Al-Sudani also directed the adoption of electronic payment methods in the disbursement of salaries and dues of this segment and its inclusion in soft loans and the provision of legal and financial facilities. Once a year, similar to the segment of public sector retirees, and granting insured retirees covered by the law from the private sector priority for treatment and health care at the state’s expense for special cases, similar to the segment of public sector retirees, provided that the Ministry of Health undertakes the overall services that can be provided to this segment. 
    Among the directives, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs organizes a central celebration every year on the first of May, International Labor Day, and honors distinguished workers, in addition to a group of activities to celebrate the occasion.
    Al-Sudani also directed coordination between the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works and the Municipality of Baghdad to prepare suitable squares in the capital and the provinces for the establishment of memorials that embody the role of the worker and highlight his impact on society, naming public squares or streets with the names of distinguished workers and assigning the Council of Advisors in the Prime Ministry to develop a draft decision regulating the mechanism for benefiting From the services of workers in the public sector and the organization of transition between the public and private sectors.
    The draft decision, according to the directives, also includes an increase in the minimum wage for workers to represent their peers working in the private sector, provided that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs puts in place a regulation of labor behavior to regulate working hours, the work environment, workers’ rights and obligations, the worker’s age, and appropriate jobs according to professional and technical specializations and scientific and practical experience. Labor and Social Affairs Monitor the implementation of labor and labor laws and relevant international instruments in addition to the labor code of conduct. A periodical bulletin is issued as a result of which it includes what was mentioned. Organizing development courses and workshops in various fields and sectors, in a way that contributes to improving the performance of workers and developing their skills.
    He also directed the preparation of documentaries and cinematic films, specialized audio-visual programs, and publications of all kinds, as well as articles, surveys, and contributions through social networking programs that explain the importance of work and the worker in the renaissance of nations and the sustainability of life.
