The Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee confirmed today, Tuesday, the continuation of hearings with specialists to proceed with the legislation of the Information Crimes Law, while noting that two parliamentary committees are responsible for examining the law.
Committee Chair Zahra Al-Bajari said, in a televised interview, that "the Information Crimes Law is one of the important laws to regulate the circulation of information and the rights of society," noting that "the House of Representatives completed the first reading of the Information Crimes Law."
Al-Bajari added, "The Parliamentary Transportation, Communications, Security, and Defense Committees are responsible for examining the law," explaining that "hearings with specialists continue to be submitted for a second reading during the upcoming parliament sessions."
And she continued, "The Transport and Communications Committee will present its observations and proposals within the second reading of the law."
