A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Saad Al-Toobi, described, on Monday, the withdrawal of the Civil Service Law by the government as the right step, attributing the reason for the withdrawal to making some necessary amendments to it.
Al-Toubi said in a press interview seen by “Takadam” that “the laws that were withdrawn, including the Civil Service Law, will be amended by the Council of Ministers, preparing what is readable and then sending it to the House of Representatives.”
He added, "The government intends to introduce some additions to the law, according to what was stated in the government curriculum, and for the purpose of making the government program a success."
He pointed out that "the government's withdrawal of the service law is legally permissible and is in accordance with the internal system of the House of Representatives, which authorized the withdrawal of draft laws by an official letter."
He stressed that "the government intends to send the law again for approval in Parliament during the next legislative term."
