The authority stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the head of the Border Crossings Authority, Omar Adnan Al-Waeli, visited today the head of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, Ammar Sobhi, on the occasion of his assumption of the new position," noting that "during the meeting, information was exchanged and an agreement was reached on a plan for joint action in Exercising the oversight role and following up all procedures and ways to preserve public money.
She added, "The visit coincided with the presence of the Director General of the General Authority for Customs, Hassan Hammoud Al-Agaili, where many common issues related to procedures at the border crossings were discussed."
She pointed out that "it was agreed on the need for integration, exchange of information and coordination in order to activate the role of oversight and take the necessary measures to prevent any operations violating the laws, instructions and government decisions, and to adopt the pre-emptive method to remedy any violation that may occur in order to reach effective legal measures that serve the public interest."
