Today, Saturday (August 19, 2023), the Parliamentary Agriculture Committee confirmed that it will deal with any corruption operations after the enactment of the agricultural land lease law, which may allow the acquisition of these lands.[/size]
[size=45]Committee member Rafiq Al-Salihi said, “Some disputes still exist regarding the draft law for renting agricultural lands and giving agricultural and veterinary graduates the right to dispose of them, and we hope to resolve the remaining differences and observations during the upcoming sessions.”[/size]
[size=45]And Al-Salihi indicated that “the Parliamentary Agriculture Committee will follow up the implementation of the law in all its details after its legislation to prevent any corruption operations regarding the file of renting agricultural land and giving the right to dispose of it to agricultural and veterinary graduates, and we will reveal any party that wants to exploit this law for the purpose of acquiring some lands for non-agricultural projects.” .[/size]
[size=45]The House of Representatives had postponed the completion of the vote on the first amendment law to the agricultural land lease law, due to disagreements over the amendments.[/size]
