The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed that the committee in charge of preparing a new salary scale in the government was very late in submitting its recommendations to the Prime Minister, indicating that the government committee is in the process of creating a database of the number of employees in the country.
Committee member Thamer Theban said, "There is a committee formed in the Council of Ministers that includes the Ministries of Finance and Planning and other ministries, to prepare a study for the new salary scale law," noting that "the study was delayed for more than five months."
He added, "The Parliamentary Finance Committee hosted the Committee for Preparing the Salary Scale and discussed with it regarding the entities and ministries targeted in preparing the new scale, pointing out that" the law until this moment has not seen the light, and it has not been sent by the government to Parliament for its legislation, and we do not know whether the committee has completed the preparation of a study Actual and whether the recommendations were submitted to the Council of Ministers or not.
In addition, a member of the Finance Committee, Mueen Al-Kazemi, stated that "the committee assigned by the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, consisting of the Ministries of Finance and Planning, the Supervision Bureau, the Federal Service Council and other government institutions, presented a proposed alternative schedule for the salary scale to the government."
And Al-Kazemi indicated that "the committee in charge is in the process of obtaining the new database of the labor force in the country, whose number has exceeded four million, so that there is clarity in the amount of financial liquidity required to implement the new ladder."
