There is no doubt that the disciplined behavior of the members and personnel of the security forces is one of the basics of the prestige of the military institution, especially after the decision of the Minister of Interior to refer senior ranks to retirement as a result of their abuse of the professional controls, which is a red line.
The decision of the Minister of Interior to refer two officers to retirement came because they published video clips and pictures of their celebration of promotion in uniform.
The referral decision won parliamentary praise, as a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Ali Al-Bandawi, told Al-Sabah: The security services represent all Iraqis, so it is necessary to stress their disciplined behavior.
Al-Bandawi added that the duty of the security services is to protect the country from all dangers, so there is a need to leave offensive comments or conversations to the extent that brings a bad reputation to the security system, pointing out that Iraq has military leaders who possess a high level of culture, and we call on them not to be drawn into any practice that affects With their behavior, the invitation is addressed to the associates to miss the opportunity for the lurkers.
Security expert Fadel Abu Ragheef agreed with what was put forward by a member of the Security and Defense Committee. He told Al-Sabah: The security institution differs from all government departments of a non-military nature, so it obliges its officers and employees to adhere to the rules of professional behavior, and that there is no permit that leads to a breach in the security system.
Abu Ragheef indicated that the security institutions in it are authorized to talk about any inquiry or incident, and that any breach of this matter generates chaos, which will reflect negatively on the country in general.
He added that any country depends on two parts, namely security and services, and that any defect in security means an absence of services, indicating that the speech of the Minister of Interior is commensurate with the process of controlling the statements of officers and members of these sensitive agencies.
The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, considered what was done by two officers who were retired as a "dangerous alarm" warning of a defect and a lack of preparation for the officers, indicating that the negatives that occurred to officers holding high ranks are supposed to be learned by the officer while he is a student.
He said: The officer is always an example, so that he does not take off his beret or eat food in the street, but for him to appear and speak unbalanced words is not acceptable.
