    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq today:[/rtl]
[rtl]Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani urged Norway to restore diplomatic representation and open its embassy in Baghdad.[/rtl]
[rtl]His media office stated, in a statement, that “Al-Sudani met in New York with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, on the sidelines of his participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The meeting witnessed discussion of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the importance of consolidating them by activating joint cooperation in various fields."[/rtl]
[rtl]The Prime Minister appreciated "Norway's military participation within the NATO/NATO mission, and its contribution to supporting and training the Iraqi security forces in their war against terrorism."[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Sudani urged Norway to “restore resident diplomatic representation and open the Norwegian embassy in Baghdad in order to develop diplomatic relations between the two countries,” calling on Norwegian companies to “work in Iraq and benefit from the available investment opportunities.”[/rtl]
[rtl]For his part, Stoura stressed that "Iraq and Norway are economically similar in terms of their dependence on oil and gas, and that his country has experience in investing imports through Norway's sovereign fund, as well as its experience in the field of associated gas investment "[/rtl]

[rtl]He praised "the Sudanese efforts to achieve stability for the country, as well as Iraq's efforts to support the stability of the region, by bringing the views of regional countries closer together, which will reflect on their security and the prosperity of their people."[/rtl]
