    Today, Tuesday (September 26, 2023), the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received an official invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Turkey.
    A statement from the Office of the President of the State of Law received by Baghdad Today said that Al-Maliki “received in his office today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Ali Reza Konai, and they reviewed the latest developments in the political and security situation, the repercussions of regional and international events, and Iraq’s relations with Turkey in various fields, as well as discussing the contribution of Turkey is in the development path project alongside the rest of the neighboring countries, and the shared water file.”
    Al-Maliki stressed during the meeting, "The government is continuing to implement sustainable development projects, as well as implementing the Development Road Project, as it is a vital regional project important for Iraq and Turkey."
    He stressed that there must be joint work between the two countries in order to consolidate and strengthen relations in all economic and development sectors, noting that there is a keenness to create an attractive environment for foreign investment, and to provide ways to develop promising investment opportunities for foreign companies to invest in Iraq, pointing out that Turkish companies played an important role.
