    [size=45]On Wednesday (October 4, 2023), the Islamic Dawa Party criticized the Iraq International Festival, which coincided with the country’s National Day celebrations, describing it as “contrary to values.”[/size]
    [size=45]A statement from the party said, “The obscene manifestations that clash with the customs and traditions of our ancient society and the provisions of Islamic Sharia, and the scenes of celebrating National Day have sparked dissatisfaction and extreme anger among Iraqis in various circles at these scandalous practices and challenge to the moral, social, and religious feelings of the Iraqi Muslim people on the eve of the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet.” The Greatest (PBUH) and his grandson, Imam Al-Sadiq (PBUH).”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “We expect the government to assume its responsibilities in this regard and conduct a rapid investigation, and hold accountable all parties and persons involved from the relevant ministry in organizing this anti-ethical ceremony in whatever position or level they may be, because people celebrate National Day through military parades and conferences. And a reminder of the national figures who had roles in building the state, and not by arousing instincts, and displaying charms in open places and squares, and in a way that violates public morals, which the Iraqi Constitution stipulates the necessity of adhering to.”[/size]
    [size=45]Yesterday (October 3, 2023), the capital, Baghdad, witnessed the organization of the Iraq International Festival in its first session, in the celebration square in the center of the capital, which coincided with the Iraqi National Day, and was attended by Iraqi and Arab representatives.[/size]
