Today, Monday (October 9, 2023), the head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, called for investing in the stage by legislating laws related to the form of the relationship between the federal government and the rest of the governments during his visit to the Kurdistan region.
A statement from Al-Hakim's office, received by "Baghdad Today", said that the latter "met during his visit to the Iraqi Kurdistan region, the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, recalling that common history in combating dictatorship and building the modern Iraqi state."
The head of the Al-Hikma Movement, according to the statement, discussed with Barzani “the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region,” stressing “the adoption of the constitution as a reference for resolving the outstanding problems.” He also called for “investing in the stabilization phase to go to legislate important laws that will complete the structure of the political system and the nature of the relationship.” Between the local government, the regional government, and the rest of the local governments.”
Al-Hakim explained, "the importance of concessions for the benefit of Iraq," stressing that "experiences have proven everyone's need for an independent, safe, and stable Iraq," citing "the period of terrorism that threatened everyone, while unity of ranks was the best way to liberate the land and protect the country," reiterating his support for "the Sudanese government , Emphasizing the importance of maintaining political, social, economic and security stability,” noting that “this would not have been achieved without the sacrifices of Iraqis from all components.”
