The Election Commission announced today, Sunday, the conduct of the electronic lottery for polling officials, indicating that this came after it approved 600,000 applicants out of a million.
Commission spokeswoman Jumana Al-Ghalai said, “Today, the Commission conducted the electronic lottery for polling officials for the irregular governorate council elections in the region for the year 2023.”
She added that "the number of applicants is approximately one million, but the Board of Commissioners approved more than 600,000 applicants in accordance with the conditions and controls set by the Election Commission," noting that "the Commission needs more than 200,000 polling personnel for the purpose of participating in the election day scheduled for the 18th."
