The Northern Refineries Company, affiliated with the Ministry of Oil, announced on Saturday the most important achievements that have been achieved within the Northern Refineries Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project. Among these achievements is the installation and construction of a refining furnace with a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day.
Hadi Saleh, director of the North Refinery Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project, told the official agency, “The company is witnessing a major reconstruction and rehabilitation campaign, and it is considered one of the largest campaigns by the Ministry of Oil to reconstruct and rehabilitate the North Refinery with all its production units, services, energy, technical services, and the pumping and storage area.”
Saleh noted, “The campaign is progressing at a high pace thanks to the efforts made by national and hired cadres, with careful follow-up by the Director General of Northern Refineries to overcome all difficulties and obstacles.”
He stressed, "The most important achievements that have been achieved so far in the North Refinery are the installation and construction of the refining furnace with a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day, in addition to the installation of two furnaces for the hydrogenation unit, and the rehabilitation and maintenance of the gasoline improvement furnace."
He pointed out that "no less than 80 percent of the towers and pressure vessels in the North Refinery with all its production units have been rehabilitated and completed."
He stated, "Work is continuing at a high pace to complete the rehabilitation work according to the specified timetable."
