Member of the Belt and Road Popular Movement, Hussein Al-Karaawi, confirmed today, Friday, that the American administration continues to pressure governments in the region in order to stop the attacks of the Islamic resistance on the military bases it occupies inside Iraq and Syria.
Al-Karaawi told Al-Maalouma, “America, through its tools and pressures that it exerts on governments, including the Iraqi government, seeks to distance the axis of resistance from direct confrontation to support the Palestinian people.”
He added, "America is exerting pressure because it knows the capabilities of the resistance and what it is capable of doing, and therefore it is pushing to make Iraq isolated from what is happening in the region, especially after it became aware of Iraq's position through Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani."
He stated that "the Islamic resistance factions in Iraq are capable of thwarting the plans of the American forces present in military bases inside Iraq and Syria, as they work, through their presence in Iraq, to besiege the country economically and try to control some decisions that are in the interest of the Iraqi people."
