Today, Sunday, a member of the House of Representatives, Thaer Makhif, revealed the reasons for the delay in issuing a position from Parliament on the recent American attacks in Iraq, and among the details of the special session, he referred to the issue of removing American forces from Iraq.

In an interview with the Maalouma Agency, Makhif said, “The majority of the political blocs and members of the House of Representatives condemned and denounced the recent American attacks in Iraq, especially the attack that targeted the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Jurf al-Nasr area.”
He added: "We called for the removal of foreign forces from Iraq, through our speeches with the Presidency of the House of Representatives and the heads of the political blocs, and to issue a statement of great importance that includes frank words with the American forces."
The member of the House of Representatives explained, “The attack on security forces in the Jurf al-Nasr area, which is located in the heart of Iraq, by American forces and in this way represents a clear disdain for Iraq and its sovereignty,” stressing that “the House of Representatives will have a serious say.”
Regarding the reasons for the delay in issuing a position from Parliament, the member of the House of Representatives explained, “The recent circumstances that occurred in the Iraqi political arena, the most recent of which was the termination of Muhammad al-Halbousi’s membership from the House of Representatives, and the confusion that followed the political process, prevented him from saying the final word with the American forces.”
Makhif confirmed, “The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, confirmed that we are about to hold an extraordinary parliamentary session to say a word about the blatant attack that occurred by American forces on the Iraqi security forces and the country’s territory.”
Earlier, the representative of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Al-Moussawi, confirmed that the file of neutralizing foreign forces from Iraqi territory has become of utmost importance in light of Washington’s continued security violations, the latest of which is the bombing of the government’s Popular Mobilization Forces.
The American combat forces present on Iraqi territory continue to violate sovereignty and carry out repeated attacks against the official government forces, amid the lack of support from the political blocs demanding the removal of all American forces present inside the country. End 25/R
