The Media Network holds a festival to support the fight against violence against women

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Women's Empowerment Section of the Iraqi Media Network organized a festival to support the campaign against violence against women.
The head of the women’s empowerment department in the network, Israa Al-Attar, told “INA”: “The women’s empowerment department in the media network held the annual festival to celebrate the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women, which is a global initiative to highlight all types of violence practiced against women, promote their rights, and raise awareness.” What they are exposed to, and to encourage taking effective measures to combat violence of all kinds, to report cases of violence, to support women victims, and to promote gender justice.”
She added that "violence against women and girls leads to a disruption of peace and stability within families and communities, and also causes countless costs," pointing out that "societies suffer in several areas, most notably health care, education, social protection, justice, and production. All of these matters prevent economies from exploiting... The full energy of a woman.
She stressed "the importance of uniting all efforts to prevent violence against women, especially with the next government steps after the launch of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women 2023-2030."
She continued, "The Women's Empowerment Section Festival included a theatrical performance to present a group of types of violence facing women in society, as well as a symposium to introduce violence and its types and how to provide protection for abused women. The festival also included a display of plastic art for a group of young female artists, and also the holding of a charity bazaar." To support and empower women
