    US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland confirmed that the United States welcomes the holding of Iraqi local elections, and we are happy that they were held in an orderly and safe manner and in a way that enhances confidence in democracy in Iraq, while she indicated the continuation of work with the Central Bank of Iraq within the framework of cooperation between the two countries, stressing that there is no Any reduction in dollar shipments sent to Iraq.
    Nuland said in an interview with the media, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Today I met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, and the meeting was good and constructive. We thanked the Iraqi government after the arrest of those involved in the bombing of the American embassy, ​​and we consider the bombing of the embassy and bases unacceptable.”
    Regarding the election file, and in response to a question from the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Nuland said, “The elections took place smoothly and safely, and we are happy about that and admire the Iraqis’ rush to elect their representatives in the provinces. This strengthens our confidence and the confidence of the international community in Iraqi democracy.” 
    She added, "Holding elections in Kirkuk is very important after a long interruption, and we praise the role of the Iraqi forces in securing the electoral atmosphere."
    She continued, "Our security partnership in Iraq continues, and we provide training and advisory services at the request of the government. This partnership has enabled us to face challenges. We are happy that the US Senate and Congress passed the National Defense Act, and this allows us to continue supporting our security partners all over the world, including Iraq." We support the Iraqi forces and the Peshmerga."
    Regarding the financial file, Noland said: “We are doing focused work with the Central Bank of Iraq to raise the level of Iraqi banks, and there is no reduction in dollar shipments sent to Iraq.”
