The third measure included the Pollution Reduction Strategy 2023-2027, which developed programs and plans to reduce pollution in the oil and gas sectors.” .
He pointed out, “The fourth point of the Ministry’s procedures is the annual monitoring plans of the Oil Pollution Division within the Chemical Control and Polluted Sites Evaluation Department, and the corresponding divisions in the environmental departments and directorates in the governorates, which include monitoring and evaluating oil fields, oil refineries, and oil spills, and monitoring the treatment of hazardous waste.” resulting from it, identifying environmental violations and taking legal action against them.”
He explained, "The fifth measure is to join international agreements, such as the Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Basel Convention on Hazardous Waste Management and the national legislation issued therefrom, and the funded projects that are implemented to take effective measures and steps in reducing and reducing pollution."
