    [size=45]A joint Saudi-Kuwaiti statement was issued at the conclusion of the visit of the Emir of Kuwait, Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to the Kingdom and his meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman. The statement presented several points about developing relations between the two countries and stressed that the Dorra field is located in the maritime areas of Kuwait. The two sides also called on Iraq To “commit to the sovereignty” of Kuwait regarding the “Khor Abdullah” file.[/size]
    [size=45]In the statement, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait stressed “the importance of the Republic of Iraq’s commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the State of Kuwait and respect for bilateral and international pledges and agreements and all relevant United Nations resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution No. 833 (1993), according to which the land and sea borders between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Iraq were drawn.” And the importance of completing the demarcation of the maritime borders between the two countries beyond maritime mark 162.”[/size]

    [size=45]Saudi Arabia and Kuwait renewed their support for Security Council Resolution No. 2107 (2013), which requests the Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) to strengthen, support and facilitate efforts related to searching for missing Kuwaitis and third-country nationals and determining their fate or returning their remains within the framework of the Tripartite Committee. And the sub-technical committee emerging from it under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the return of Kuwaiti property, including the National Archives, and the importance of the Security Council’s continued follow-up of the file related to the issue of missing Kuwaitis and third-country nationals and the file of missing Kuwaiti property, including the National Archives, through the continued preparation of reports. A periodical presented by the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the latest developments in these two files, and the efforts undertaken by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) in this regard, pursuant to paragraph four of Security Council Resolution 2017 (2013), and calling on Iraq and the United Nations to make every effort to reach A final solution to all these issues and unfinished files,” according to the statement.[/size]
    [size=45]Regarding the issue of the Durrah field, the joint statement stated: “The two sides affirmed what was stated in the statement issued on 1/15/1445 AH, which included the confirmation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait that the entire Durrah field is located in the marine areas of the State of Kuwait, and that ownership of the natural resources in the region The divided submerged area, including the entire Dorra field, is joint ownership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait only, and they alone have full rights to exploit the wealth in that area, and we affirm the categorical rejection of any allegations of the existence of rights of any other party in this field or the divided submerged area.”[/size]
    [size=45]Saudi Arabia and Kuwait renewed their “previous and repeated calls for the Islamic Republic of Iran to negotiate the eastern border of the divided submerged area with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait as one negotiating party, and the Islamic Republic of Iran as another party in accordance with the provisions of international law.”[/size]
    [size=45]Regarding what is happening in the Yemeni arena, Riyadh and Kuwait stressed “the importance of fully supporting international and regional efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, and the Kuwaiti side praised the Kingdom’s efforts and its many initiatives aimed at encouraging dialogue and reconciliation between the Yemeni parties, and the role of the two countries in providing humanitarian aid and facilitating the Kingdom’s Delivering this aid to various regions of Yemen.”[/size]
    [size=45]In a related context, and in light of the escalation between America and Britain on the one hand, and the Iran-backed Houthi group on the other hand, the two sides stressed “the importance of maintaining the security and stability of the Red Sea region, and respecting the right of maritime navigation therein in accordance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of ​​2014.” 1982 AD in order to preserve the interests of the entire world, and they called for restraint and avoiding escalation in light of the events taking place in the region.”[/size]
