    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The leader in the coordination framework, Ali Al-Zubaidi, confirmed today, Thursday (February 15, 2024), that all governors will be subjected to evaluation and follow-up during the next stage.
Al-Zubaidi said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", "The framework worked to form local governments that have the ability to develop services in various governorates, and governments that can support the implementation of the government program of the government of Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, which aims to improve the reality of services and pay attention to the economic aspect."
He stated that "the coordination framework will work to follow up and monitor all local governments and the work and performance of all governors will be monitored and the work of any governor will be evaluated. The goal of this is not to repeat previous mistakes, and to work for the success of those governments and governors in implementing their electoral programs."
It is noteworthy that the coordination framework announced, on December 20, 2023, the formation of a “framework bloc” in all governorates to form local councils.
Some of the Coordination Framework Forces confirmed their intention not to renew any governor, for various reasons, some of which are related to disagreements with certain blocs within the Framework Forces, and some of which are under the pretext of change.
The re-election of Asaad Al-Eidani as governor of Basra, Muhammad Al-Mayahi as governor of Wasit, and Nassif Al-Khattabi as governor of Karbala came as a result of the alliances under which they entered the local elections obtaining a comfortable majority, such as the Basra Governor’s Bloc, and a simple majority that needed one or two seats to constitute half plus one, in Karbala and Wasit. .
