    The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, confirmed on Friday during his meeting with the German Minister of State for Foreign Affairs that implementing the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to normalize the situation in Sinjar will help the Yazidis.[/size]
    [size=45]The media office of the President of the Region said in a statement, “The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, met this evening, Friday, with German Foreign Minister Tobias Lindner.”[/size]
    [size=45]The office added in its statement, “The two sides stressed the importance of developing German relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and expanding cooperation between the two countries.” They agreed that security and political stability in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region is important for the entire region.”[/size]
    [size=45]According to the statement, the German Foreign Minister stressed that “his country attaches great importance to the situation in Iraq and will continue to support Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.”[/size]
    [size=45]In turn, Barzani expressed his thanks to “Germany for its continued support for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, and praised the role of German forces in the international coalition against ISIS.”[/size]
    [size=45]The statement pointed out that “both sides need to improve the situation in Sinjar and the Yazidis.” In this regard, Nechirvan Barzani stressed that implementing the agreement between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to normalize the situation in Sinjar will help the Yazidis return to Sinjar and rebuild it.[/size]
    [size=45]The internal situation and elections in the Kurdistan Region were another focus of the meeting. Barzani stressed that “the Kurdistan Region is committed to holding elections as quickly as possible.”[/size]
