Baghdad: Muhammad Al-Ansari
Yesterday, Sunday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani considered ISIS to be a defeated organization, while he directed that observations and proposals be taken regarding plans to develop and expand Baghdad International Airport.
The Prime Minister pointed out, during his participation in a dialogue symposium held by the Baghdad Institute for Dialogue, under the slogan (Regional Communication... The Centrality of Iraq), to “the importance of these research institutions in decision-making, and their focus on facts away from confusion and prejudices,” indicating that “the government She set a primary goal for her work, which is to build trust with the Iraqi street, which is itself a criterion for determining priorities in work.
Regarding the security axis, Al-Sudani said: “ISIS today represents a defeated organization. The recent operations of our armed forces have proven its inability to exist even in remote areas. If stability is achieved and the capabilities of our forces develop, they strengthen the conviction of the possibility of ending the presence of the international coalition and moving towards bilateral relations.” .
Al-Sudani reiterated "Iraq's position that rejects its lands being an arena for others' conflict," noting "the importance of intertwining interests in the region, and the shift from political focus to economic focus."
He explained that "major strategic projects, such as the Development Road Project, will work to attract partnership and economic integration, and they reinforce the idea of Iraq by proposing an economic bloc, as was previously proposed at the Arab Summit, as projects that fuel development and enhance integration between Arab countries."
While chairing a meeting that included representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the committee concerned with preparing plans for the rehabilitation and expansion of Baghdad International Airport, Al-Sudani reviewed “a detailed report on the prepared plans and implementation mechanisms, and a number of notes were recorded regarding them and the most important proposals to overcome some of the problems obstructing the work.”
Al-Sudani directed to “take notes and proposals regarding plans to develop and expand Baghdad International Airport and discuss them thoughtfully to come up with a vision that is consistent with the government’s approach and direction, with regard to Baghdad International Airport having specifications that are consistent with approved international standards, improving its services, and being an important interface worthy of Iraq’s reputation and status.” "Civilizational."
The Prime Minister attended a workshop held in the capital, Baghdad, aimed at supporting the national industry, especially the construction industries, in conjunction with the start of work in new residential cities.
In a speech during the workshop, Al-Sudani renewed the government’s seriousness in supporting the private sector and addressing the problems that obstruct its work through the Council of Ministers and the Ministerial Council for the Economy, pointing out that the country is suffering from a real housing crisis that has made us move towards the housing sector, which is one of the most prominent sectors that generate job opportunities. According to international organizations, there are 89 professions driven by this important sector.
He explained that Iraq faces a real opportunity to create a broad national industry to secure construction materials, especially since it possesses primary resources, and there is an urgent need for these materials, pointing to the Jeweler City, which has completed all the conditions for its implementation without any obstacles or problems, and includes the construction of more than 30 thousand units. Residential, which means it needs a lot of construction materials.
He added that the legal team is now working to complete the granting of the license for the city of Ali al-Wardi, which includes 120,000 housing units. The contract for the city of al-Ghazlani in Nineveh has also been signed, and within two or three months the three cities will be started.
