    The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities confirmed, on Monday, the adoption of the latest international specifications in the Baghdad-Kirkuk Road Project, which work is currently continuing, while it expected its completion by the end of the year.
    Ministry spokesman Nabil Al-Saffar said, in a statement reported by the official news agency and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “work on the Baghdad-Kirkuk road project was divided into 4 stages, and the current work is being done in the provinces of Diyala, specifically in Al-Khalis and Al-Azim, as well as Kirkuk, and the cladding process is carried out using a layer of Especially for processing through several layers (base, bond, and surface), and due to the importance of this method, we used the latest international specifications in this project to ensure its sustainability.”

    He added, "A section of about 46 km of this project has been completed, and work is continuing. There is progress in the pace of work on this project. We hope that by the end of this year and the beginning of next year, the project will be completed completely."

    He continued, "There was a problem of conflicts that had previously hindered work on the road, and a team was formed to remove them in accordance with the government's directives, especially the road and bridge projects in the investment plan."
