    The Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee revealed, on Tuesday, the latest developments in the oil and gas law discussions, noting that the high ceiling of Erbil’s demands hinders any future agreement.
    Committee member Kazem Al-Touki said in an interview, “The region has to sit at the dialogue table in order to speed up the legislation of the oil and gas law.”
    He added, “Some technical points turned into political points, in addition to the high ceiling of demands by the regional government in exchange for legislation of the oil and gas law.”
    He stressed the necessity of “legislating the oil and gas law to regulate the export of oil and distribute revenues to the oil-producing governorates in accordance with what is stated in the Iraqi constitution.”[/size]

     On Tuesday, the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee revealed the latest developments in the oil and gas law discussions, noting that the high ceiling of Erbil’s demands hinders any future agreement.
