    The National Investment Authority confirmed, on Saturday, that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani provided full support to Hanwha Company for the completion of the city of Bismayah, and while it counted the new residential projects scheduled to be built in Baghdad, it confirmed the adoption of a new method and clarified its details.
    The official spokesman for the National Investment Authority, Muthanna Al-Ghanmi, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the authority signed a contract with the Korean Hanwha Company under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to complete the city of Bismayah, and this contract was the gateway to the real launch of the return of... Business within the city,” noting that “the city is considered one of the largest development and investment projects in Iraq and includes more than 100,000 residential units.”
    He added, "The number of inhabited units is 20,000 units," noting that "there are 9,480 new housing units, of which the ready and completed ones were distributed to citizens, and the number is 1,440 units, of which more than 8,000 units remain."
    He stated, “The authority announced in more than one session the names of those eligible to receive these housing units for applicants to purchase the units in the years 2021, 2022, and the first month and second month of 2023,” explaining, “The company’s president presented to the Prime Minister full readiness to complete the new housing units and their number.” 70 thousand housing units. 
    He stressed, "The meals will be announced from the names of those entitled to it successively, up to the last housing unit out of the final total of more than 8,000 housing units currently being worked on," noting, "After that, we will move to the new contract for the implementation of the 70,000 housing units, and thus it will be completed."     He stated, “Hanwha Company has solid projects and works in several countries, through the establishment of major units and projects in the residential and non-residential sectors, and even electrical power generation plants through the technology of burning and investing in waste,” pointing out that it is “one of the companies that entered Iraq at a difficult time and deserves it.” All support, as the Prime Minister pledged to support this company as long as there is achievement, accuracy and great satisfaction from the citizens.”
    He stated, “The Al-Jawahiri Residential City was announced, just as the National Investment Authority announced last June the Ali Al-Wardi City, where bids were opened last August and were referred to the companies that were awarded the bids and analyzes according to the conditions and specifications mentioned in the announcement.” .
    He stated, "There are residential cities announced in Baghdad, which are Bismayah City, New Sadr City, New Al-Jawahiri City, and New Ali Al-Wardi City, in addition to 15 cities distributed throughout the governorates from the north to the center and to the south."
    He stressed, "The National Investment Authority will announce investment opportunities as soon as the procedures related to surveys, land acquisitions, and audits are completed," pointing to "the adoption of a new investment method by the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the National Investment Authority in new residential cities, including the city of Ali al-Wardi, which will include 120 to 150 apartments." One thousand housing units, as 25 percent of its units will be given to the state free of charge, and some of them will be distributed to citizens in two parts: free for the fragile and vulnerable groups, and another part will be paid in installments over a long period of 20-25 years, while the rest of the housing units will be for the investor and the company.
    He stated, "The state will intervene by setting prices to prevent speculation and profit at the expense of the citizen," noting that "this method has not been proposed since the establishment of the Investment Authority and the enactment of its law in 2006."
