Member of the House of Representatives, Mahdia Al-Ami, called for enabling women to assume positions in one of the three presidency, noting that there are women capable of assuming the position of prime minister.
Al-Ami said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “the issue of appointing a woman to the position of Prime Minister requires the formation of an elite of political workers who will work to deliver this project and activate it.”
She added, "There are three ministries led by women that have proven their success, and they must be honored and supported to provide more efforts, stressing that women are capable of managing the House of Representatives, the Presidency of the Republic, and the Prime Minister."
Al-Ami pointed out that “the government of Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani must work to increase the participation of women in the government, the provincial councils, and the House of Representatives.”
