Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived at Baghdad International Airport, as part of an important official visit he is making to Iraq, the first of its kind in 13 years.

Al-Sumaria's correspondent said that the Turkish president's plane had just landed at Baghdad airport.

This visit is the first visit in 13 years by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq, who arrived in Baghdad at the head of a large, high-level government and parliamentary delegation.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani described Erdogan's visit to Iraq as "not a passing visit," and it will include, for the first time, developing solutions instead of transferring crises.

It is hoped that 20 memorandums of understanding will be signed between the two sides, while the issues of border security and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, as well as the water issue, the development path, and the export of Kurdistan’s oil, dominate the visit’s agenda.
