The Ministry of Oil announced, today, Friday, the production of “super” gasoline from the Northern Refineries Company for the first time at a rate of three million five hundred thousand liters.
The Ministry stated in a statement received by Mawazine News, that “this achievement is in implementation of the directive of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to reconstruct all the damaged and stopped production units in the Northern Refineries Company since 2014, and to work to improve the technical specifications of petroleum products, and to increase the refining capacities of the national refineries.” “Reaching self-sufficiency and stopping imports.”
The Ministry praised "the sincere national efforts of the employees of the Northern Refineries Company and the supporting parties, and the efforts of the company's general manager in upgrading the technical specifications of the gasoline improvement unit from the octane number of 92% to the super international specifications of the octane number of 98%."
