    Baghdad today - Basra
Today, Saturday (June 29, 2024), the representative of Basra Governorate, Faleh Al-Khazali, during his visit to Al-Haritha district, criticized the absence of schools suitable for the areas of Al-Mashab district, indicating that most of them are caravanserais and do not meet the region’s need for schools .
Al-Khazali told "Baghdad Today", "All the primary schools in those areas are caravan schools, with only one secondary school for girls. The region also suffers from a severe shortage of roads, bridges, electricity, health, and other services," surprising "the governorate's indifference to the demands that were made to include... “The projects requested and proposed by the residents, expressing regret for the weak response from the concerned authorities . ”
He called for "intensifying efforts to improve services in Al-Hartha and meet the needs of its residents who have made great sacrifices to defend the homeland."
Many regions and districts of Basra Governorate and other governorates are suffering from a severe shortage of services, in contrast to the concentration of services and spending on city centers and specific areas, revealing the presence of “inequality” in the distribution of services.
