[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed the selection of the targeted areas to implement the decision to convert the type of agricultural lands to residential and provide services to them.
A statement from his office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani chaired a special meeting today, Thursday, to follow up on the implementation of Cabinet Resolution (320 of 2022), related to changing the type of agricultural lands to residential, as His Excellency was briefed on the package of procedures and instructions taken to implement the decision and the reasons for the delay, and stressed the need to address them away from routine determinants.
According to the statement, Al-Sudani directed to double the mobilization of efforts in order to expedite the activation of procedural solutions to address the housing crisis, and to begin providing the best services to residential areas, within the foundations of justice, equality and entitlement, which were initially addressed by involving service and engineering efforts; To provide services to unserved areas that were deprived due to the problem of the type of agricultural lands and their classification.
He also directed the selection of specific areas in Baghdad, in which the relevant Cabinet decision and the decision to amend the implementation controls will be implemented through Cabinet Decision (23107 of 2023), and the results will be followed up, after which the selection of other areas in Baghdad and the governorates will be expanded; in order to overcome the service and social problems caused by informal housing in agricultural lands and obstacles to infrastructure projects. / End9[/rtl]
