The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Reber Ahmed, and the Minister of Interior of the German state of Essen, Roman Buzek, discussed ways to enhance coordination and cooperation between the two ministries.[/size]
[size=45]Today, Friday, August 2, 2024, the Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Reber Ahmed, met with the Minister of Interior of the German state of Essen, Roman Buzek, during his visit to Germany.[/size]
[size=45]The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior in Wiesbaden, discussed ways to develop cooperation and coordination between the Ministries of Interior of Essen and the region, with a focus on exchanging expertise in the areas of enhancing the capabilities of the police, civil defense and forensic evidence, and enhancing coordination to reduce illegal immigration.[/size]
[size=45]For his part, the Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government expressed his thanks to the government and people of Germany for providing assistance to the displaced and refugees in the region, in addition to their support for the Peshmerga forces in the fight against the terrorist organization ISIS.[/size]
[size=45]Reber Ahmed stressed that the Kurdistan Regional Government is committed to protecting the values of democracy, human rights and freedom of expression, noting that the region has made many sacrifices for these values.[/size]
