    Information/Baghdad ..
Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, announced today, Saturday, the formation of a special parliamentary committee to follow up on the implementation of the provisions of the Yazidi Law No. 8 of 2021 in cooperation with the relevant government agencies, stressing that this law included Turkmen, Christian and Shabak survivors.
Al-Mandalawi said during the conference commemorating the tenth anniversary of the Yazidi genocide, that "a special parliamentary committee has been formed to follow up on the implementation of the provisions of the Yazidi Law No. 8 of 2021 in cooperation with the relevant government agencies, which is concerned with addressing the physical, psychological, social and material damage caused by ISIS crimes," stressing that "this law included Turkmen, Christian and Shabak survivors."
He added, "The Iraqis' confrontation of terrorism, armed with the legitimacy of the fatwa and national and international law, had the greatest impact in preventing the most heinous crimes of genocide that we celebrate today, at the level of Iraq and all countries of the region."
Al-Mandlawi called for "cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities to restore security and stability to their regions and rebuild them by securing infrastructure, basic services and livelihoods, and seeking to compensate them morally and materially," noting "the importance of working to remove those regions from all equations of disputes and conflicts."
He pointed out that "the Zionist aggression on Tehran, Beirut and Yemen is a criminal terrorist behavior and a violation of international peace and security and the sovereignty of states," warning of "the entity's attempts to expand the conflict in the region and escape the painful blows of the resistance."
He stressed that "targeting the official sites of the Iraqi security forces is unacceptable and a violation of national sovereignty, as it threatens bilateral talks to end the presence of the international coalition forces and move to bilateral relations based on respect for sovereignty and common interests."
