A security source in Anbar Governorate revealed, today, Saturday, a military directive to withdraw 15 officers who were assigned to protect Halbousi and return them to their original units.
The source told Al-Maalouma Agency that "this decision came after the Ministry of Interior took a similar decision to withdraw the so-called Presidential Halbousi Regiment, restructure it, and transform it into a federal police force, and assign its tasks to track down ISIS terrorist elements in the Western Desert."
He added that "the security leadership also ordered the withdrawal of a security force and armored vehicles from Halbousi's brother (Muthanna) because he does not hold any official position, stressing that "taking these decisions is legal and does not target Halbousi." End / 12A
