Iraq's meat imports from Brazil amounted to more than $300 million in 2023, according to the TradeMap website, which provides a trade map for countries for exports, imports, international demand, alternative markets and competitive markets.
The website stated in a statistic on its website, which Mawazine News reviewed, that "Iraq imported meat from Brazil during the past year in a quantity of 153,969 thousand tons with a total value of $313.765 million," indicating that "the meat included chicken, cows, sheep and goats."
He added that "Iraq's share of Brazilian meat imports exported to the world amounted to 22%," noting that "Iraq imported chicken meat in a quantity of 150 thousand tons with a value of $299 million."
The website continued, "Iraq imported frozen beef in a quantity of 3,461 thousand tons with a financial value of $14.715 million," and Iraq imported sheep and goats in a quantity of 75 tons with a financial value of $116 thousand."
