The Turkish Statistical Authority announced today, Thursday, that Iraq ranked fifth among the countries that imported the most from Turkey in June, indicating a decrease in exports by 8.3%, and imports by 4.4% during the mentioned month.
The authority stated in a report reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News" that "the total Turkish exports during the month of June amounted to 19 billion 49 million dollars, a decrease of 8.3%, while imports amounted to 24 billion 920 million dollars, a decrease of 4.4% compared to June 2023."
She indicated that "Germany, the main export partner, imported $1.555 billion, followed by the United States with $1.287 billion, and the UAE with $1.059 billion."
She added, "Italy came in fourth place with $984 million, and Iraq came in fifth place with $853 million."
Iraq imports most of its goods, merchandise and food from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, and to a lesser extent from the Gulf countries and Jordan.
