Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, stressed on Wednesday the importance of coordination between the Electricity Police and the sectors of his ministry with the aim of securing the infrastructure for electrical energy to provide stable hours of supply to citizens.
The Ministry of Electricity stated in a statement, which was reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "Fadel made an inspection visit to the Electricity Police Directorate, and was received by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Federal Security Affairs, Lieutenant General Samko Nazim Amin, and the Director of the Electricity Police, Major General Sinan Jamil Al-Bayati."
The statement added, "The visit aims to review the work of the security forces in protecting sites and energy towers, and to evaluate the challenges facing the security forces in their missions."
According to the ministry’s statement, the Minister of Electricity praised the “high coordination between the Electricity Police and the various sectors of the ministry, with the aim of securing the infrastructure for electrical energy, and providing stable and reliable hours of supply for citizens,” while he ordered “providing the necessary logistical support to the Electricity Police to enhance its performance with great effectiveness.”
Fadel called for "mobilizing all technical and security efforts and directing them to serve the visitors of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, as the date of the Arbaeen pilgrimage approaches."
