A member of the House of Representatives revealed today, Saturday, the date of the session to elect the Speaker of Parliament, while confirming that if two orders are implemented, it will be held.
MP Alaa Al-Haidari said, "The agenda of the upcoming parliament sessions will include a paragraph on electing its speaker." He added, "This week's sessions include many important proposals and draft laws that will be discussed and voted on." Al-Haidari continued, "The session to elect the speaker has not been determined, and a special session may be held for that purpose, in the event that a political agreement is reached between the Sunni components on one of the candidates." The parliament member continued, "In the event of no agreement, we will proceed with the procedures of the third round and choose one of the candidates for the presidency of the House of Representatives."
