Labor warns of the development of human trafficking methods

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs warned of the development of methods and patterns of human trafficking crimes and the need to intensify awareness of its dangers, while coordinating with the Ministry of Interior to return foreign juveniles and victims to their countries. The ministry’s spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, told Al-Sabah that his ministry has activated all its procedures in coordination with the Ministry of Interior to confront human trafficking crimes, by preparing an annual plan to combat them and a series of procedures to prevent the misuse of the labor market, pointing to the need to find the necessary ways to limit and confront them and publish legal penalties against their perpetrators. He explained that there is high coordination with the Directorate of Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior to facilitate the procedures for returning foreign victims of human trafficking to their countries.
