    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
MP Muhammad Al-Baldawi revealed, today, Friday (August 23, 2024), the existence of "parliamentary satisfaction" with the government's success in addressing 7 black files, indicating that it is a mistake to obstruct the path of reform.
Al-Baldawi said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "Iraq is facing major challenges and crises that have accumulated over the course of several governments, including corruption," noting that "the current government was aware of its danger and included it within its ministerial program within the principle of priority and achieved accomplishments through dismantling networks in coordination with the integrity, security and intelligence services, but this does not mean the end of the scourge of corruption, but rather it has been reduced and limited."
He added, "Bribery, drug and human trafficking, smuggling, and even low-quality content are all black files that have been solved to deter them, and the government is making efforts, not to mention the file of the delay in service projects for years, the largest part of which has been revived and the strategic planning path for development projects has been continued for the first time in the country through the development road, the Baghdad train, and the stages of the Grand Faw Port have been advanced."
He pointed out that "we cannot underestimate the great efforts being made now to give another picture of the Iraqi reality," considering that "it is a mistake to obstruct the path of reform and to proceed with the real building of the country."
The ministerial program of Al-Sudani's government includes an emphasis on a set of main points, including addressing poverty and unemployment, combating financial and administrative corruption, combating unemployment, providing job opportunities, activating the role of investment agencies and promoting industry, accelerating the reconstruction of liberated areas, and improving health services for citizens.
