    Information / Baghdad..
Iraqi parliament member Amer Abdul Jabbar reiterated today, Saturday, his confirmation that political differences are obstructing the election of a new speaker of parliament.
Abdul Jabbar told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Sunni forces are concerned with resolving their differences regarding the position of the Speaker of Parliament, indicating that the continuation of Sunni differences is not in anyone's interest."
He added that "Mohsen Al-Mandalawi's remaining as Speaker of the House of Representatives is due to the Sunni conflict," noting that "some political forces are seeking to keep Al-Mandalawi as Speaker of Parliament until the end of the current session."
MP Alaa Al-Haidari had previously confirmed that the formal and legal conditions necessary to hold a session to elect the Speaker of the Council are currently available. End / 25 H
