    Information/Baghdad...
Political analyst Ibrahim Al-Sarraj ruled out, on Monday, that the Shiite House would accept Al-Halbousi’s plan to amend the internal regulations of the House of Representatives in order to change the candidates for the presidency and for the Progress Party to obtain the position again.

Al-Sarraj told Al-Maalouma, "The Shiite blocs will not move towards amending the internal regulations of the House of Representatives, but there may be an agreement with the largest bloc within the House of Representatives in order to decide the presidency of the parliament."
He added, "Amending the parliament's internal regulations requires the council's approval by an absolute majority, and the Coordination Framework does not want to engage in such an adventure with known results."
He explained that "the Coordination Framework is pushing towards the Sunni blocs adopting a project for consensus among themselves to present a single candidate who will be supported and voted for to be Speaker of the House of Representatives, in addition to the fact that the Framework has conditions for the candidate presented by the Sunni House, and therefore the matter will not be decided by presenting the candidate only, but rather the required conditions must be met."
