    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The Federal Integrity Commission decided, today, Thursday (September 12, 2024), to postpone the press conference that it had indicated yesterday that it would hold at its headquarters, while indicating that its head, Judge Haider Hanoun, thanks the Iraqi judiciary for opening an investigation into the audio clips attributed to him.
The Commission said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today" that it "affirms its respect for the judicial authority, its procedures, and the decisions and rulings issued by it," noting that "its work and its great outcomes, which resulted in deterrent judicial decisions and rulings against the corrupt and those who transgress against public funds, all of this was under the supervision of investigative judges."
She added, "Based on the principle of separation of powers stipulated in the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005, the head of the commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, extends his thanks to the Iraqi judiciary and the public prosecution for conducting the investigation into the (forged and fabricated) audio clips falsely attributed to him, and for respecting all the results and decisions issued by it."
The Authority announced in its statement, "The postponement of the press conference that it indicated yesterday that it would hold at its headquarters; this is out of respect for judicial procedures, and to ensure that they are not influenced in order to uncover the truth," stressing that it "always looks forward to achieving justice and holding accountable anyone who dares to tamper with the state's capabilities and the security of citizens, and to encroach upon its institutions and attempt to undermine the status of its men; in an attempt to blackmail it and influence its work stipulated by the laws in force, which will only increase its courage and confrontation of the corrupt and the recovery of the people's money from them."
