The Acting Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, congratulated the employees on the entry into force of the 21st Amendment Law to the Staff Law No. 25 of 1960 after its publication today, Monday, in the Iraqi Gazette, stressing its importance in addressing problems related to the promotion of the employee or his occupation of a higher position than his position and organizing special jobs.
Al-Mandalawi called on the parliamentary committees concerned with following up on the correct application of the law for all government departments and not delaying the implementation of all its provisions, especially those related to achieving harmony between job titles and academic qualifications of employees by adding new job titles, and ensuring the employee's rights to promotion by continuing with the same job title until reaching the degree he legally deserves, pointing out the presidency's keenness to legislate this law exclusively, which came in direct contact with the employee's need in various state institutions with various titles.
Al-Mandalawi pledged to work in coordination with all parliamentary committees to expedite the legislation of laws and issue the necessary decisions that target a number of segments of society and are in contact with the citizen's need during the legislative term and the current parliamentary session
